Supervision for Associates Working Toward Licensure
If you're an ASW or AMFT working toward licensure in California, I offer individual and small-group supervision designed to support you through one of the most demanding — and most formative — stretches of your career.
Licensure prep can feel like you're being pulled in two directions: pass the exam, but also become the clinician you actually want to be. My goal in supervision is to help you do both, while building a practice and a professional identity you can stand behind for the long haul. I use a developmental approach, matching the goals and techniques of supervision to where you are in your therapy career.
I hold Board Approved Supervisor status and have spent over a decade in this field — as a group facilitator, therapist, supervisor, and clinical director — including leading outpatient and residential programs through accreditation. I bring that range of experience into the room with you.
What We'll Work On
Licensing, demystified. We'll cover the material you need for the exam, but just as much time goes toward how licensing actually plays out in real clinical work — where the test-taking answer and the real-world answer diverge, and how to navigate that gap with confidence.
Building a private practice. From the practical (systems, referrals, sustainability) to the harder-to-name pieces (finding your voice, setting your rates, trusting your clinical judgment), we'll work on what it takes to build a practice that's actually yours.
Building a trauma-informed practice. Trauma-informed care is a lens, not just a modality — I'll help you think through how it shows up in your intake process, your language, your pacing, and your presence with clients.
Outcome metrics. We'll talk about how to track whether what you're doing is working — for your clients and for your own growth as a clinician.
